5. East German Female Olympic Team (Swimming)
In the first part of this topic we talked about many specific individuals who used drugs to enhance their performances, but in this situation, not just one athlete cheated but the entire team. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the first time that the East German female Olympic team got reported for using steroids. These steroid uses were going on from the 1968 Olympic Games all the way to the early 80s.
In fact, they became the head of the common problem that kept spread across the world of sports. From many points of views, it’s seems like that over 10,000 German female athletes had been involved in this phenomenon.
