At its September event, Apple announced its newest lineup of iPhone models including iPhone 13 Pro Max.
iPhone fans had long been waiting for this event to arrive since the release of the iPhone 12 Pro Max last year. Aside from iPhone 13 Pro Max, Apple also unveils iPhone 13, iPhone 13 mini, and iPhone 13 Pro.
iPhone 13 Pro Max is a premium device that comes with a ton of improvements on battery, internal specs, and a redesigned TrueDepth camera system.
Here’s everything you need to know about the newest flagship phone of Apple:
iPhone 13 Pro Max will be available to pre-order on Friday, September 17 in the U.S. and U.K. Preorders for all iPhone 13 models will begin at 5 a.m. Pacific Time.
The official launch of the four iPhone 13 models including the Pro Max will be on Friday, September 24.
There’s a maximum storage capacity of 1TB available to order on the Pro Max model which will cost you $1,599.
Design and Specs
The iPhone 13 Pro Max has a 6.7-inch Super Retina XDR display like its predecessor. All four models include an updated design with a smaller notch that’s 20% smaller than iPhone 12.
The Pro Max model has 120Hz ProMotion display technology, which boosts the screen’s refresh rate and helps iOS 15 feel exceptionally smooth. When you require excellent graphics performance, ProMotion automatically ramps up, and when you don’t, it ramps down to save power.
This device is powered by the Apple A15 Bionic Processor, Apple’s most advanced chip ever. It also gets an even bigger GPU upgrade with its all-new 5‑core GPU. The Pro versions, according to Apple, have the most powerful mobile GPU ever, with graphics that are 50 percent faster than any other smartphone chip.
All four iPhone 13 models are IP68-certified for water resistance.
iPhone 13 Pro Max is available in 4 colors:
- Sierra blue
The new Pro Max model still features a triple rear camera setup similar to its predecessor. The setup includes a 12MP telephoto camera, wide and ultra-wide sensors that support Night Mode, too.
Apple also introduced a new Macro photography feature. It’s the biggest image sensor in an iPhone to date. It uses the ultra-wide camera on the Pro models and helps focus on subjects as close as 2cm. This ultra-wide lens, according to Apple, can capture up to 92 percent more light, implying a significant improvement in image quality for customers. The feature will work with video as well, including Slo-mo and Time-lapse recordings.
It also comes with more advanced camera features, including Apple’s new Cinematic Mode feature, which uses Dolby Vision HDR to provide professional-grade cinematography to your videos.
Apple did say that all iPhone models have new larger batteries and claims that the Pro Max model has the best battery life ever on iPhone. Apple promises that Pro Max will have a longer battery life that will last two and a half hours longer than its predecessor.
When actively using 5G, the battery can be drained significantly faster than expected.
This device also gets Magsafe Charging for faster wireless charging.
There’s a lot of major upgrades made to the new iPhone 13 Pro Max, and it just might be the phone you’ve been waiting for all this time.
