ESPN once nicknamed this baseball team as the “biggest group of cheaters in baseball history”. Back in 1951 the New York Giants were an MLB team who came up with unusual clever illegal plan. They actually used telescope in order to capture signs from their opponent’s catcher.

They know thanks to the signs they capture which way the enemy’s pitcher going to throw the ball and react to it properly. It helped them win the National League pennant.
