5. McGee’s Bar from “How I Met Your Mother”

The known bar, McLaren’s Pub was a total fictional pub, which draws inspiration from the real-life bar, the McGee’s Bar, located on 240 West 55th Street in New York City. The show’s writers, Carter Bays and Craig Thomas, used to visit a lot the restaurant during their early days writing jokes for David Letterman.

Thanks to the tv show, McGee’s Bar won to be one of the most recognizable TV bars, they even renaming some of their food and drinks after bits and pieces from “How I Met Your Mother”. They offer the TedMosbyIsAJerk.com wrap and cocktails like the Pineapple Incident. Every Tuesday night at 8:00 is How I Met Your Mother trivia night for the true fans who want to put their knowledge to the test.
