Dogs Can Only See in Black And White
You might already believe in this myth even if you don’t have a dog. Many people, including scientists, believed that dogs could only see in black and white. Thanks to the advancement of science and technology, we can say goodbye to this myth. New research has shown that dogs indeed can see colors but not the spectrum colors that human being able to see.
Dog eyes, like human eyes, have special color-sensing cells called cone photoreceptors. The dogs have 2 out of 3 cone photoreceptors compare to humans. Each one reacts to different colors found on the spectrum of visible light.
