10. The Doors
This list doesn’t contain only bands with the biggest number of followers, it’s also about the legacy and inspiration that they pass on to the next generations. It’s hard to describe a legacy in a few sentences and explain why The Doors might be one of the greatest rock bands of all time.
Among their hits you can find songs like “Riders on the Storm” and “Break On Through (To the Other Side)”, showed that their genius front man, Jim Morrison, brought the band to a whole new level of music and fame. Sadly, Morrison passed away in in 1971 at the age of 29. Who knows what he could do if he was alive today?
