Amazon Developed A New AI Tool

Amazon developed new AI tool that will go over programming codes and do code review.

CodeGuru, the new code review AI tool that was developed by Amazon will go over the code, find errors and will offer improvements.

Now Amazon announced the CodeGuru will be available to all developers.

CodeGuru includes 2 main tools: Reviewer and Profiler.

The Reviewer is used to go over your code and improve it, find bugs & errors and offer the developers new ways to fix them.

The Profiler scans the code that was inserted to the tool and show the developers the most expensive lines of their code – the actions that requires the most resources, and the Profiler will show you how to fix them – the tool adds a $ symbol near those line.

Amazon says CodeGuru was train by reviewing codes from hundreds of thousands of internal projects in Amazon and by reviewing more than 10 thousand projects on GitHub. Amazon says that even experts miss some bugs that can cause major problems later on.

To use CodeGuru, you don’t need to make any changes – you can add it to your favorite development environment. The tool go over the code in the repository and gives you feedback. The tool can open a pull request on Github and send the developers its recommendations of the code.

Amazon says that this amazing tool, which is based on AWS programmers’ code, was used by Amazon for more than 80 thousand apps and saved them millions of dollars. Amazon claims that this tool helped the programmers to reduce the overload on the processors by 325% and by that, they save 39% on processing costs.

Would You Like To Draw Better?

A new AI (Artificial Intelligence) tool will help you take a simple face scratch and turn it into a realistic photo.

The new algorithm take simple draws, analyze different aspects of the picture and create a full face image.

Scientists in the Chinese Science Academy in Beijing published a research and revealed an AI algorithm that take simple draws and turn them into a picture full with details.

The algorithm called DeepFaceDrawing, which help users with low drawing skills to produce high quality picture.

This is not the first time that AI is used to create pictures, a tool named Pix2Pix did it (very poorly) before, but the new AI tool looks much more promising than the old one.

The AI tool rely mostly on statistics, instead of demanding a full draw with all the elements, the tool go over all the objects in the data base, which includes faces and face parts, then it decides how to build the best face possible. So the tool analyze each face part first and then combine them all.

In the science paper the researches writes – “Recent deep image-to-image translation techniques allow fast generation of face images from freehand sketches. However, existing solutions tend to overfit to sketches, thus requiring professional sketches or even edge maps as input. To address this issue, our key idea is to implicitly model the shape space of plausible face images and synthesize a face image in this space to approximate an input sketch. Our method essentially uses input sketches as soft constraints and is thus able to produce high-quality face images even from rough and/or incomplete sketches.”

This is how the program works –

Google Will Turn Your Photos Into Art Pieces

To open the app go to Google Arts & Culture app, then select “Art Transfer”.

Then you can pick from many different styles to apply to your photo.

If you wish to customize your picture you can click the scissors and select the part of the image you want to apply the art to.

Artificial Intelligence seems like a very powerful tool in the hands of artists and in the hand of everyday people as well. People can learn much about art with these kind of apps in a very fun and interactive way.

You can find the app here for android

If you are worried about security issues Google says the app will transform the photos on you device without using any cloud services.

This project was made by google with the help of varies art institutions around the world like UK’s National Gallery and Japan’s MOA Museum of Art. Thanks to the app, users are now expose to art memorials of artists such as Leonardo da Vinci, van Gogh, Edvard Munch and Frida Kahlo.
