“One person’s trash is another’s treasure”, and these movies prove it. Many movies sadly won to small audience when they first came out to the big screens, most likely because they give bad impression at the beginning. However, these movies later, thanks to their first audience, created a classics cult with million of followers. From the ridiculous to the funny to the underdog movies, without any farther discussion, let’s get started.

1. The Big Lebowski

This movie couldn’t be a big hit on its first day on the big screens, but later influenced many in an instant. With funny scene one after another and many classic lines, this movie impacted the mainstream society in a big way.

blank
Polygram Filmed Entertainment/IMDb

Believe or not, this movie is packed with future Oscar winners (5 awards to be precise). Jeff Bridges’ “The Dude” will be a character that many people would see themselves in, even mimic his lines or play weird games whenever he said or does certain thing. John Goodman, Steve Buscemi, and John Turturro were also a major part of making this film into what it became as they played memorable and funny characters.

2. Harold and Maude

Harold and Maude came out in 1917, and it done something that had never been done before and since. This movie talks about a young man (very young) who fell in love with 79 years-old woman. Consider the era that this move came out, the audience didn’t take it kindly.

blank
Mildred Lewis and Colin Higgins Productions/IMDb

However, years went by and the era changed, and the attitudes towards Harold and Maude finally changed and many finally acknowledge the movie as it supposed to be, a love story.

3. Super Mario Bros

Wait, since when there was a realistic Mario movie? Well apparently, there was, in 1993. Super Mario Bros came out to the big screens and kids around the world were so excited and rushed to the cinema to watch it. Fun fact, children in the early ’90s were finding the Italian plumber to be more recognizable than Mickey Mouse.

blank

This movie was expected to be one of the highest-grossing films of 1993. Sadly, the fans, actors and even the film’s owners hated it.

4. The Room

Well if we mentioned cult classics, of course “The Room” must be on the list. This movie didn’t get his popularity all at once. When Tommy Wiseau’s brainchild was first released in 2003, it was weird and deterrent.

blank
Wiseau Films/IMDb

The movie got a lot more negative reviews and critics slaughtered the movie to the ground. Years later, the movie came re-emerged. Believe or not, it got so much popular to the point it gave inspiration and became the source to write a book. James Franco made a film about it called The Disaster Artist.

5. Office Space

In 1999, the comedy movie named Office Space was released and seemed to have everything in order to go for it. It was funny, relatable and even Jennifer Aniston starred there.

blank
20th Century Fox/IMDb

The director of the movie – Mike Judge was disappointed from the movie and moved on to other movies. He thought the movie will be forgotten. However, a few years later, he began hearing people quoting his movie. The movie became one of Judge’s most popular works.

6. The Warriors

One of the greatest action movies of the decade, The Warriors, didn’t have the same name in the beginning. The movie was categorized as bad influence on youth when it came out.

blank
American International Pictures/IMDb

After many years of attempts to make this film vanished from the world, it came back years later with a massive cult of followers. It even ranked 16th by Entertainment Weekly on greatest cult films of all time.

7. Cooley High

Cooley High is a 1975 American nostalgic comedy-drama film that follows the narrative of high school seniors and best friends.

blank
American International Pictures/IMDb

While Cooley High quickly became lost in the waves of cult films of its time, it is today remembered as a classic of black cinema and one of the biggest cult classics of the ’70s.

8. Suburbia

In 1996, Suburbia didn’t attract at first many fans when it came out to the big screens. This movie was seen as less attractive, as it took us out of Vienna and put us in the shoes of a group of losers who hang out in front of a suburban convenience store.

blank
Castle Rock Entertainment/IMDb

It was a well made movie. Sadly the movie didn’t won to be filmed at midnight screening or anything like that. However, its honorable mention movie that really captured the spirit of the 1990s.

9. Wet Hot American Summer

Wet Hot American Summer is regarded as one of the biggest cult classics within the realm of comedy. With that’s being said, when the movie came out it was a major failure and didn’t break out to whole world. Just to mention that this movie was out along with the the American Pie franchise and Old School movies (Bad timing).

blank
IMDb/Eureka Pictures/North Coast Group

Paul Rudd and Elizabeth Banks starred in the movie but they weren’t known back then when the move came up. They hosted stars like Stella Comics Michael Ian Black, David Wain, and Michael Showalter on board. More on the list, are SNL cast members and 90s film icon Janeane Garofalo, Frasier‘s David Hyde Pierce, Oz‘s Christopher Meloni, and a very young Bradley Cooper.

10. Troll 2

The 1990’s Troll 2 is one of the most confusing movie of all time. The choices that the Italian director Claudio Fragasso were so confusing. For example, at the beginning, the director didn’t pick his team of actors that resemble to his characters in the scripts, but he decides to bring locals from the town the movie was filmed.

blank
Filmirage/IMDb

Despite the film was a huge mess, couple of decades later it started to gain popularity thanks to the midnight showings and the movie cult classics.  Now Troll 2 stands as one of the biggest cult classics of all time.

Many people, thought that their beloved animated characters, were designed and developed by their creators out of the blue. But believe it or not, some of the animated characters were inspired by real animals. So, without any further discussion let’s move to some of the weird and unbelievable animals that your favorites animated characters is based on.

1. Crash Bandicoot– Bandicoot

When Naughty Dog, a game studio company, had to find a new hero for their games the wanted their character to be “cute, real and no one really knew about”. Australia is full of animals that meeting those requirements, the creators of the game just had to look a little. One small creature caught their eyes, and its name is Bandicoot.

The story behind Crash Bandicoot game franchise is that this Bandicoot got superpowers after a failed experiment and the game is about the journey to save the world against evil villains. Unlike the character, the real Bandicoots are more interested in digging up earthworms with their long snouts instead of going to crazy adventures.

Red Pandas can be found across southern Asia, from the Himalayas to southwestern China. Those animals are expert climbers which helped them to earn the reputation as escape artists. They even cause hard time to The National Zoo in Washington D.C back then when a few pandas escaped from the zoo.

4. Arthur Reed, Arthur – Aardvark

“And I say HEY!(Hey) what a wonderful kind of day!”, who doesn’t remember the Arthur?

Well guess what, his creators got inspired by an Aardvark. Lets be honest I thought Arthur is kind of mouse, I never could imagine that Arthur Reed is an Aardvark.

YouTube/Arthur_PBS/Instagram/aleex_masterman

Aardvarks are nocturnal mammals found across most of sub-Saharan Africa. They burrow and dig in order to find ants and termites hidden in their hills, thanks to their highly sensitive smell sense and their long nose to sniff around. Unlike our daylight lovely friendly Arthur, the Aardvarks are more active at night.

5. The Road Runner, Looney Tunes – Roadrunner

“Meep Meep”, sounds familiar?

Is none other than our favorite dashing funny animated friend, The Road Runner from Looney Tunes. Yes, the fast bird who sprint so fast and leave dust behind him, especially on Wile E. Coyote. Surprisingly, that speedy creature actually got the name and is based on a bird called Roadrunner.

blank
YouTube/WB Kids/Warner Brothers/Instagram/authorbjsmith

Believe or not, these fascinating birds have actually been recorded running at speeds of up to 27 MPH. Another interesting fact is, Coyote got his name from the real creature called coyote which is a predator who hunts down the Roadrunners. Luckily in the cartoon world, the table have been turned over and Roadrunner gives Coyote hard time.

6. Sonic, Sonic the Hedgehog – Hedgehog

This one is easy to recognize – our beloved and insanely fast blue hedgehog is non other than Sonic the hedgehog. When Naoto Ohshima, a Japanese artist, attempted to create a character for Sega, he simply looked at a list of animals and looked for animal that can roll to a ball. Obviously, you will think about Armadillo, but Naoto Ohshima picked our beloved garden guest – the hedgehog.

blank
YouTube/Cartoon Network/Instagram/one.ear.eloise

Despite lacking some blue spiky hair, gloves and shoes, the real hedgehogs walk on 4 and pretty slow compare to our cartoon lighting speed hedgehog. Like their blue-haired counterpart, the spiny animals typically have a positive reputation and are considered to be hard workers.

7. Rocket, Guardians of the Galaxy – Real Raccoon

Raccoons are typically being those nasty thieving who rummage around in garbage cans, but who thought they can be travel in space? This might happen when a certain character is starting to appear in Marvel’s comics. Rocket Raccoon is a highly intelligent member of the superhero team tasked with saving the galaxy.

YouTube/Moviefone/Marvel/Instagram/bryank19974

8. Pikachu, Pokémon – Squirrel

Pokémon is one of the biggest franchises in the history, who don’t love Ash and his partner Pikachu? Apparently, many people discussed about the source of which Pokémon’s creator got the inspiration for Pikachu?

blank
YouTube/Cartoon Network/Instagram/sesamkringelchen

While many guesses are valid, but the only verified one is the squirrel. Atsuko Nishida, a graphic artist, explained that she had become very interested in squirrels and wanted her character to have cute cheeks and prominent tail. As the series goes, Pikachu slowly start to get more mouse like shape.

9. Pascal, Tangled – Chameleon

One of the surprising breakout stars from the Disney’s “Tangled” was Rapunzel’s chameleon, Pascal. Disney decide to pick chameleon as Rapunzel’s “sidekick”.

YouTube/Disney Princess/Disney/Instagram/rangothechameleon13

The animation team studied the real animal in order to accurately capture the reptile’s movements and physical features. In the meantime, they designed Pascal to move and act like a real chameleon, they also changed his appearance to be cuter and more cartoonish.

10. Mort, Madagascar – Mouse Lemur

One of the most popular characters from the film, Madagascar, was the wide-eyed and bushy-tailed lemur named Mort. Our friendly lemur and it’s adorable naivete caught our eyes. The creators of Mort took the inspiration of this cute small furry creature from the world’s smallest primate, the mouse lemur.

This anime’s fluffy coat helps deflect heat and keeping them cool. Their comically large eyes help these nocturnal creatures to find prey when the sun goes down. Like most lemurs, they are omnivorous, and spend most of their life in the trees.

Итак, пристегните ремни, ведь мы отправляемся в путешествие по миру самой странной вредной еды, о которой вы никогда не слышали.

1. Фраппучино со вкусом сладкого картофеля от Starbucks

Sweet Potato Gold Frappuccino.

There is an old saying that when people connect to each other, like in marriage, they tend to start look the same. We got a few pictures of owners and their pets with same eyes color, hair style or even same cloths. Without any feather discussion, let starts with some collection we think you might like ->

1. Look At Their Eyes

When you look at this picture, I am sure you will notice the eye color of these woman and her cat. To me it is a little hypnotizing. Those breathtaking gray eyes stare at us like they stare right into our souls.

Did you know? Gray eyes are one of the rarest eye colors in the world. The majority of people usually have brown, blue, hazel or green eyes.

2. White As Snow

For people who familiar with the comic series “The Adventures of Tintin”, this little dog should bring up some good old memories. This dog to me and many other resembles Snowy. The little white dog which was owned by the main character. But compare Tintin and Snowy to the man and the dog in the picture, there is something special, they look alike.

Instagram/isabelmg30

They both have white hair/fur and matching facial hair. To be more precise, the dog have an excellent and specific shaving job, to match up with his proud owner.

3. Flaxen-Haired Friends

Another hair and fur matching between the owner and their fluffy friend. It is amazing to see this woman’s hair match her beloved dog’s fur. There is no any weird matching, like funky hair and fur style or cloths.

But what this pairing has in spades is an organic connection, from their good-natured nature smile to their photogenic relationship with the camera.

4. Fedora Hat Pals

While their obvious resemblance of white hair and gruff visage, their hair also seems to be intentionally styled in the same manner, and to their credit , it look so organic.

6. Let’s Go Camping

Camping was one of my favorite childhood to do, go to the nature and camp around bonfire, listen to the night creatures and smell the nature. But what’s better than go to camp with your favorite buddies? Those 2 seems unbreakable.

Within the forest and the wild , it is an opportunity for profound levels of bonding — and these two pals appear to have got that covered. But let’s not forget and admit that their hairstyles look exactly the same.

7. Bonding On All Fours

There is no boundaries to how human master will do to be more like their pet. They might dye their hair or style their hair in a specific way. The possibilities are endless, and many owners around the world just want to try pay tribute to their beloved furry friend.

With that being said, this lady right here had one of the more unique approaches of actually getting down on her hands and knees. And not just that, she even put on herself and on her dog the same cloths to look identical. Of course, we can avoid from the fact that their hair’s color and style look same as well.

8. Color-Coded Company

Let’s agree to this point, many human love so deeply their fluffy friends to level they are matching color coding of their outfits. Determined to bring the similarities between her and her pet to the forefront, this young lady seems to have taken that theme to the next level.

Instagram/mybodyishome

From this picture we can all agree she love the brown color because of her dog, cloths, and even the couch. Also, she dressed him up in this brownish themed outfit to match with her shirt.

9. Wild And Free

In addition to the the same black and gray mixture in their hair, these two seems like they are on the same spiritual path. I Can agree and  I am sure many like me as well, that we need those spaces where they can be in peace and free the inner negative energy.

With their playful energy, they can remind us to slow down and detach from our constraining grind.

10. Camouflage Coat

This girl in the picture proves us once again that people put in extra work to look like their beloved pets. She is the prefect example because of her noticeable brown coat.

The overall effect is so perfect that make the dog nearly vanishes into his owner’s fashion coat. We can see how much she loves the dog by the look on her face.

Let’s all agree, Rock n’ Roll can’t live without the drummers. Believe or not they are the unsung heroes of music, the guardians of time and groove, and their beats decide if people actually dance or not. One question remains, who are the most influential, creative and revolutionary drummers of all time? Without any further discuss, let’s get into it.

1. John Bonham

When people started to listen to “Whole Lotta Love” for their first time, it felt like a new king had arrived. Those thunderous sounds were made by none other than John Bonham, thanks to Led zeppelin’s brilliant madness. They were four-headed monster, but Bonham was something else.

An American musician Dave Grohl admitted that he seriously tried for years to copy Bonham’s lightning speed playstyle. Bonham’s sound and speed surpass like no one else’s, still managed to show us it wasn’t that hard to preform like him. Even after he passed away, many people hailed Bonham as the greatest rock drummer of all time.

2. Keith Moon

When Moon joined to “The Who”, they were already a messy group. With him backing them, the four band members became a circus both on stage and behind the scenes. Thanks to Moon as “lead drummer” the band gained proper foundation.

The Bass guitarist John Entwistle said about Moon: “His breaks were melodic. Because he tried to play with everyone in the band at once”. Moon was also known by is antics on the stage for example blowing up his drumset. His Invaluable contribution to drumming that gave him his legend status.

3. Neil Peart

When Neil Peart auditioned to the rock bend “Rush”, their guitarist Alex Lifeson said about Peart: “We were so blown away by Neil’s playing”. “It was very Keith Moon-like, very active, and he hit his drums so hard” he added. Although Peart’s unique wildness reminded them Moon in many ways, it also defied him on some levels.

Peart was a lot more methodical, almost mathematical in his approach compare to Moon. Peart was one of the drummers that elevated his status to more than just a drummer, but an arranger and composer as well.

4. Ginger Baker

Baker was yet another mysterious musical talent that peeked out from a perfect storm. Thanks to his team up with Eric Clapton and Jack Bruce, Baker could play to his heart’s desire. Baker had jazz background and then he entered to psychedelic jam rock scene which lead his trio to heights and to a whole new level which never was seen before.

Baker was more into African beats, as was stated by Afrobeat co-creator Tony Allen: “He understands the African beat more than any other Westerner”. His inhibited passion for music and his unchained personality were unmistakably presents very time he get o the stage.

5. Hal Blaine

Wrecking Crew was group of Los Angeles musicians who played on many of the hits that recorded in the `60s and `70s. Hal Blaine, the group drummer, played in hits by Frank Sinatra, Elvis Presley, The Supremes, and even The Beach Boys on their legendary album Pet Sounds. Some stories say that Blaine is the most recorded drummer in history.

Blaine even helped Phil Spector ,a producer, to create his “Wall Of Sound” on hits like the Ronettes’ “Be My Baby”. As he put himself “I’m not a flashy drummer. I wanted to be a great accompanist”, Blaine managed to do that with some more achievements.

6. Benny Benjamin

The founder of Motown, Berry Gordy, had an in-house studio band called The Funk Brothers where they could play on all the records. Benny Benjamin was the drummer, the maestro and musical genius of the group. “He had a distinctive knack for executing various rhythms all at the same time,” said Gordy. “A pulse, a steadiness, that kept the tempo better than a metronome.”

blank
Instagram/bostondrumlessons

Thanks to Benjamin’s expert hands, songs like The Temptations’ “My Girl” and Barrett Strong’s “Money (That’s What I Want)” were possible to be made. Even American singers and songwriters were inspired by him! Wonder even said, “Man, he was one of the major forces in the Motown sound. Benny could’ve very well been the baddest”.

7. Gene Krupa

One of the all-time greatest drummers, Neil Peart, once said the next thing about Gene Krupa – “…was the first rock drummer, in very many ways”.  Peart even explained that Krupa was one of the drummers that could both “command the spotlight” and “be celebrated for his solos”.

Krupa’s playing influenced many people, even Keith Moon and John Bonham. The fact that he came before them gives him different kind of reverence in the drum community.

8. Mitch Mitchell

Stewart Copeland, an American musician once said about Mitch Mitchell, the `60s drum legend, “All of this stuff I did that I was rather proud of, I thought I came up with it. But no, I got it from Mitch”. Mitch Mitchell was weird enough and could hold down the fort along with Jimi Hendrix’s weirdness.

blank
Getty Images/Redferns

Even Roger Taylor a musician from Queen said, “He played the kit like a song, it was just wonderful. But with this rolling ferocious attack on the whole kit. Total integration into the song. Not just marking time.”

9. Charlie Watts

The person that because of him “roll” added to the “Rolling Stones” was none other than Charlie Watts. Even when the “Rolling Stones” were still in their early stages, Watts was a well-known and respected drummer across London. At first, they couldn’t afford to hire him but as “Rolling Stones” buzz spread out and barely could be ignored, they won Watts over.

blank
Getty Images/Hulton Archive

Watts provided steady backbeat rhythm support on stage like no other. The guitarist of the band, Keith Richards, said about Watts – “When we got Charlie, that really made it for us. Charlie can rush like mad and still make it feel great. That’s his style.”

10. Stewart Copeland

Funny but interesting fact about Stewart Copeland is that Copeland made just as much of an impact with what he didn’t play than with what he did play. His grooves aren’t so simple and easy to mimic and this what made him better than most of the drummers.

blank
Getty Images/Hulton Archive

Similar to other British rockers from his era, his complicated yet special grooves added to his band’s sound in a subtle yet powerful way. Copeland even lent his talent to many other artists over his career.
