This movie couldn’t be a big hit on its first day on the big screens, but later influenced many in an instant. With funny scene one after another and many classic lines, this movie impacted the mainstream society in a big way.
Believe or not, this movie is packed with future Oscar winners (5 awards to be precise). Jeff Bridges’ “The Dude” will be a character that many people would see themselves in, even mimic his lines or play weird games whenever he said or does certain thing. John Goodman, Steve Buscemi, and John Turturro were also a major part of making this film into what it became as they played memorable and funny characters.
